EXPERIENCE / INDEPENDENCE / AMBITION

Our Thinking

An organisation built around a single competitive objective.

GP Motorsports draws on more than two decades of experience across Grand Prix racing and international motorsport.

Its origins lie in the Team Roberts Grand Prix programme. That experience, alongside subsequent work across motorsport and the wider engineering industry, has shaped the thinking behind a new organisation dedicated to developing and racing its own Grand Prix motorcycle.

The experience behind the project extends beyond racing into engineering partnerships, sponsorship, brand development and programme strategy. It informs our approach to building a competitive racing organisation with a long-term commercial foundation.

GP Motorsports is being developed around the particular demands of Grand Prix motorcycle racing, drawing selectively on specialist expertise and experience from elsewhere in high-performance engineering globally.

THE PROGRAMME

What We Are Building

Racing

GP Motorsports is developing a programme to compete with its own Grand Prix motorcycle. Design, testing and race preparation will work closely together, with feedback from the track guiding development.

Engineering

Specialist research, design and development will sit at the core of the organisation. In-house engineers will work with technical partners and suppliers to build, test and improve the motorcycle.

The emphasis is on giving engineers the tools and authority to make decisions, and close working relationships that help resolve problems quickly.

Technology & People

Motorsport engineering can create value beyond the race track. GP Motorsports sees lasting value in the technology developed through racing and the people behind it. We aim to build on that knowledge beyond the race track, while keeping performance on it at the centre of the programme.

People drive performance. GP Motorsports aims to bring together experienced people from Grand Prix motorcycle racing and the wider engineering industry, giving them the resources, responsibility and working environment to turn their expertise into success on track.

That environment will also help develop the next generation of engineers, learning from experienced colleagues and contributing to real engineering work.

People & Performance

Performance starts with people.

The programme will bring together people from Grand Prix motorcycle racing, Formula One and the wider engineering industry. Recruitment will focus on the expertise needed for each role and how people work together.

Experienced engineers will also help develop the skills of those joining the industry through practical work on real engineering problems.

APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES

Developing engineering capabilities and skills.

Applied Technologies will build on the engineering knowledge and practical experience developed through the racing programme. It will provide a basis for work with partners on projects beyond motorcycle racing, alongside technical training and skills development.

This will support the wider business, while the racing team remains focused on developing and competing with its motorcycle.
